Since Pongal festival is just a few days away, the films planning to be released on Pongal are gearing up fast. The censor formalities are now getting completed.
Silambarasan - Vedhika starrer 'Kaalai', directed by Tarun Gopi, has got ‘A’ certificate. The highlights of the movie are said to be its stunts and a racy script. Especially the climax fight that lasts for 20 minutes will captivate the audience, the sources say.Vikram – Trisha starrer 'Bheemaa', directed by Lingusamy, has certified U/A. The story is said to be revolving around the life of a rowdy. The powerful star cast including Prakash Raj, Raghuvaran, and Ashish Vidyarthi, Harris Jayaraj’s music, Kanal Kannan’s action, and R.D. Rajasekar’s camera work are the highlights of the movie.
Karu Pazhaniapan’s 'Pirivom Santhipom', sans glamour and violence, has got U certification without any problem. The story is revolving around a joint family. The hit pair of ‘Autograph’ - Cheran and Sneha – is teaming up again.
Seeman’s ‘Vaazhthugal’, starring Madhavan and Bhavana, has got 'U' certificate. This movie is a pleasant entertainer based on family values and love.
'Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan' is yet to be certified.

பொங்கல் RECIPE

எப்படி பொங்கல் சமைப்பது...

Ingredients:
2 cups of Jasmine Rice

1/2 cup of Moong Dhal

1 litre of Milk

1/2 cup of Ghee

3 cups of Orange Sugar

1/4 tsp of Elaichi Powder

1/2 cup broken Cashewnuts and Raisins

Method:
1.Fry the Rice and the Moong dhal in a pan, till the moong dhal colour starts to change.
2.Boil Milk in the heavy bottom vessel. When the milk has boiled fully, add the Rice and the Moong dhal. Keep the fire in medium flame, let it cook.
3.Add water and milk till the Rice and Moongdhal is cooked nicely. Keep adding ghee to this mixture and also keep stirring.
4.When the Rice and Moongdhal mixture is cooked add few strings of Saffron , Elachi powder and Orange Sugar. Keep stirring, till all the orange sugar is dissolved.
5.Fry the Cashewnuts and Raisins in ghee, and mix it with Sweet Pongal.
